One of the richest men in Thailand is Vanich Chaiyawan.

Vanich Chaiyawan is the chairman of Thai Life, Thailand’s second largest life insurer. His fortune almost doubled after he sold a 15% stake to Japan’s Meiji Yasuda for $700 million, when the company was valued at more than $4.6 billion.
Along with his family, he holds around 60% in insurer. His son runs as the company’s president.
Chaiyawan also owns a small stake in Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi’s Thai Beverage.
