2. Michael Schumacher (Estimated Net Worth: $800 million)
No words can describe how I miss watching Michael Schumacher racing in Formula 1. Also known as Schumi, he is a legend. He is arguably the greatest in Formula 1 Grand Prix. He became the World Champion for seven times. And five of them were consecutively achieved from 2000 to 2004.
His skills and hard work earned him $20 million annual salary and $10 million worth of endorsement deals. That put him as the world’s 20th highest-paid athlete with $30 million of annual earnings.
He was once retired from the sport in 2006. But then he returned in 2010 to help build the current championship-winning team, Mercedes AMG Petronas. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to tragic skiing accident in 2013.
Schumi suffered a head injury which cost him his ability to walk. He was put into a medically induced coma. And he is currently in home-rehabilitation. His family has been keeping his condition privately and fans respect that.
His last reported net worth was somewhere around $800 million. However, that number may decrease significantly after being spent on his medical treatments.
His son, Mick Schumacher, is currently following his footsteps as a Formula car racing driver.
