If I were a grown up when Eddie Irvine was still a Formula 1 driver, I would have referred to him as Michael Schumacher’s cute teammate. Just ask Julia Stiles. They worked together in The Prince and Me, a comedy movie back in 2004.
He may have never won Formula 1 championship, but he came close to it in 1999 when he finished as the runner up. After four race victories and twenty six podiums throughout his entire F1 career since 1993, Irvine had to retire in 2002 due to leg injury. But the spotlight didn’t stop shining on him even for negative reasons such as being sentenced to jail. He was involved in a fight with the son of Milan’s former mayor.
