Dolly Parton is one of the richest country music singers in the world, as well as the 7th richest singer in 2015.
With a net worth estimated at $500 million, Dolly is famous for her songs ‘9 to 5’ and ‘I will Always Love You’, which Whitney Huston covered for the film The Bodyguard.
As a singer, songwriter, actress, author and philanthropist, she was born 1946 in Sevier County, Tennessee as the fourth of twelve children.
Music always played an important role in her life, and many of her early performances were in church. By the age of 9, Parton was appearing on The Cas Walker Show and later was signed on the small Louisiana label, Goldband Records.
The day she graduated from high school in 1964, she moved to Nashville and achieved her initial success as a songwriter.
Apparently she did it, because now she is famous everywhere and one of the most respected singers.
