10- Matt Groening – $500 million

Matthew Abram “Matt” Groening was born on February 15, 1954. He is an American cartoonist, screenwriter, producer, animator, author, musician, and voice actor, and of course one of the richest TV show creators.

Groening is known for the comic strip “Life in Hell” which aired from 1977 to 2012 as well as the co-creator of two successful television series – The Simpsons (1989-present) and Futurama (1999-2003, 2008-2013).

The Simpson is known for being the longest-running American sitcom and the longest-running American animated program.

Besides that, The Simpson also holds the title of the longest-running American scripted primetime TV series.

Many people consider The Simpson as one of the greatest TV shows of all time and the fact that it won 28 Primetime Emmy Awards proves that is true.
