The Engelhorn left two richest widows in their family. They are Traudl Engelhorn and Ursula Engelhorn. They are parts of the Engelhorn family which founded the Boehringer Mannheim. It is the biggest pharmaceutical company in Germany and one of those in the world.

Traudl’s late husband, Peter Engelhorn, ran the business alongside his brother Curt. When he passed away, she inherits his part of the company.

Traudl and Peter built up huge collections of contemporary glass art. Those are exhibited in Switzerland and Germany.

The 87-years-old widow is now living quietly in Lucerne, Switzerland. She owns a total of $3.8 billion net worth. This put her as the 403th billionaire in the world and the 33th in Germany.
