Robert Downey Jr.’s new $3.5M Malibu Home is Almost as Cool as Iron Man’s
Whose home you think is the best: Robert Downey Jr.’s new $3.5m Malibu home or Iron Man’s?
The famous actor, who has a net worth of $250 million has just purchased one of the most beautiful homes in Malibu.
He decided to buy the house located in the same zip code he shares with his character Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.
His alter ego owns a house located over-the-top, cliff side mansion on Point Dume, which has an estimated value of $100 million.
Located just 15 minutes of Point Dume, near Pepperdine University is Downey’s new residence.
Featuring 3,384 square foot, three bedroom, three baths, and built in 1972 the home spreads on 1.3 acre.
The feature we love most about this house is its floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall sliding glass door that spreads from the living room to the balcony.
The balcony is a glass-enclosed space, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
You can see the open-concept living room which flows into the kitchen anchored by a trapezoidal island.
There is a gas range with a glass-tiled backsplash, a sink with a stone backsplash, as well as open shelving. A breakfast bar seats for three, which is also cool.
After leaving the kitchen there is the formal dining room. Passing through the dining room you reach the bedrooms which all open to either the backyard of the balcony.
The upgraded bathrooms one of which features floor-to-ceiling, blue glass tile.
Plus there is an outdoor kitchen, exercise studio, black-bottomed pool, whirlpool spa and a cabana.
When he noticed the house?
The estate hit the market at the beginning of May, and he closed on the house in less than a month.
It seems like the actor and his wife are on a real estate shopping spree. The couple bought another $10.5 million property in East Hampton New York, earlier this year.
