Romanian Photographer Mihaela Noroc Captures How Beauty Looks in 37 Countries
There’s still one question left unanswered: Which is the face of beauty?
Mihaela Noroc, a 29-year-old Romanian photographer, quit her job two years ago, took her camera in the hands and started to travel the world in search of that answer.
And so began the travel project of her dreams – or anyone else’s dream for that matter – “The Atlas of Beauty”. Noroc, with just a backpack and a camera, traveled across the world to 37 countries, capturing young women surrounded by their culture and natural habit.
The photographer had one clear goal: to demonstrate that beauty takes even the simplest form, contrary to the magazines’ idea that cosmetics and size matter.
There’s one big advantage though. Noroc speaks five different languages, so getting in touch with the model and finding out about where they come from was a lot easier.
From the exotic Amazon rainforest, through the burning Brazil and all the way to the freezing Tibetan Plateau, here are the pieces of “The Atlas of Beauty” puzzle:
You can see more of her work on her Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr accounts.
Mihaela is currently looking for more funds to continue her work and complete the “Atlas of Beauty” dream travel project.
Anyways, after traveling the globe and seeing the faces of almost all cultures, the 29-year-old Romanian photographer came down to one clear conclusion:
Now I can say that beauty is everywhere, and it’s not a matter of cosmetics, money, race or social status, but more about being yourself.
