6. Knighted in 2000
You don’t have to feel bad for Sean Connery. Because after all, for all the hard work and everything he had to go through, he was knighted in the year of 2000. Not to mention all the money and luxury stuff he got.
Queen Elizabeth II knighted him for his services to Film Drama. Listed in the Queen’s Millennium Honors List then, he became a Knight Bachelor. And he became Sir Sean Connery ever since that day, July 5th.
The ceremony took one hour long. It took place at the Edinburgh’s Holyrood Palace in Scotland. His wife, Micheline, and his brother, Neil, were there for him.
