4. Tax exile?
Besides his political view which some people resent and some others support, there is another thing certain people dislike about him. It is the fact that he is an alleged tax exile.
Yes, he is living in Bahama, one of the countries known as a place for billionaires to “hide” their money. So, it is safe to say that he is trying to avoid paying large amount of tax for the money he earns. But does it mean he is a tax exile?
For this accusation, Sean released documents showing that he paid a huge amount of money in UK taxes. That was in 2003. But other problems emerged from time to time before and after.
As Sean was cleared from the accusation, his wife took the blow. Two years ago, Micheline was charged with taking part in an alleged plot to defraud the Spanish treasury of millions in taxes. Long story short, the case went on. And now his former lawyers are sentenced for tax fraud.
Now I can’t decide which one is more confusing, his politic or his tax problem?
