1. All the roles he turned down
Sean Connery is James Bond, Robin Hood, King Arthur, King Agamemnon, and Macbeth. However, not many people know that Sean Connery could have been known as many more great roles hadn’t he turned them down.
Sean could have been the Architect in The Matrix. And he could also have been John Hammond of Jurassic Park and King Edward I of Braveheart. But he turned them all down mostly because he was filming other films.
But there are other roles he turned down for more specific reasons. He was offered the role of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings but he admitted that he could not understand the novels. And he also didn’t want to film down under for a long period of time. He also turned down the role of Hannibal Lecter because he thinks it was too violent.
