Furby
This owl-like toy with fur, corgi ears and a beak was released in 1998 and one of its best features was to learn English.
They came in many shapes and forms and in three years more than 40 million pieces were sold.
When one Furby meet another, they were programmed to make some gibberish conversation, just the way some people do.
It was a top toy for Christmas and kids went crazy for them because what kid doesn’t want a furry little friend that can also speak?
In 2005 they made a TV series “Furby Island” and many other attempts to revive this toy, as it faded in time.
