We look at three things: how fast you get from the snow to the water, how big and varied the wellness area is, and whether the hotel is still running as described. Prices move by date, so we give a rate only where we found one and tell you to check before booking.
1. Bagni di Bormio, Bormio, Italy
Bormio sits in the Lombardy Alps, close to the borders with Switzerland and Austria. Roman aristocrats travelled here for the hot springs, and the town still has several thermal baths. It also hosted alpine skiing at the 2026 Winter Olympics, so the slopes are in the news again.
The historic Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi is part of the Bagni di Bormio complex, now operated under the QC Terme name. Its own description calls it the largest thermal centre in the Alps, with more than 70 treatments, and access to the baths and wellness centre is free for hotel guests. Listings mention outdoor thermal pools, hot tubs, a sauna and a Turkish bath. Booking sites showed nightly rates from roughly 134 to 216 euros in 2026, depending on the date.
2. Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, Interlaken, Switzerland
This five-star hotel sits in the heart of the Bernese Oberland, the gateway to Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren. The spa is now called Spa Nescens and covers about 5,500 square metres, with a 1940s boudoir-style interior.
The spa has an outdoor brine pool with mountain views, a sauna area, steam baths, relaxation rooms and massage and beauty rooms. Spa and sauna hours run from 7 am to 9 pm daily, per the hotel site. Room rates are not published on the site, so check dates directly.
3. Le Chabichou, Courchevel 1850, France
Le Chabichou sits right on the piste in Courchevel 1850, a resort in the Trois Vallées, the largest linked ski area in the world. The hotel’s restaurant holds one Michelin star.
The spa has changed since our first write-up. The hotel now presents a Shiseido spa and a 1,000 square metre wellness area with a heated indoor pool, a steam room and hydrodynamic pools. Management says it looks forward to welcoming guests back in December 2026, and that the new spa is opening soon, so confirm the spa opening date before you book.
4. The Green Leaf Niseko Village, Hokkaido, Japan
This 200-room hotel sits at the foot of Mount Niseko Annupuri, with slope access to Niseko Village Ski Resort. It is now a Hilton-branded property, with the news release dated November 2025.
The Green Leaf Onsen is a natural rock-pool bath with mineral-rich spring water. It has separate indoor and outdoor baths for men and women, plus an open-air bath ringed by boulders and snowy pines. It runs only in the Niseko winter season.
5. Fairmont Tremblant, Mont-Tremblant, Canada
The Fairmont Tremblant lists 310 guest rooms and suites, and it is billed as a ski-in, ski-out hotel at the base of one of eastern Canada’s biggest ski mountains. Earlier sources gave 314 rooms, so we use the hotel’s current figure.
The on-site spa is Moment Spa. A separate outdoor spa, Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant, sits a short drive away if you want hot and cold pools in the forest. No starting rate is published on the Fairmont page.
