U.S. Open provides the highest winner cash prize in tennis tournament. It has proven itself as one of the top grand slams in the world.
Last year, the U.S. Open 2015 cash prize was increased by 10.5% compared to the previous year’s. The total pool of cash prize was $42.3 million.
Both 2015 men’s singles winner (Novak Djokovic) and women’s singles winner (Flavia Pennetta) went home with the record breaking $3.3 million cash prize.
This year’s U.S. Open will be held for 14 days from August 29 to September 11 in New York, USA. Will the cash prize be increased again this time? We’ll just wait and see.
