This is the No. 1 item on our list and I am still not sure if it shocked or scared me. Maybe both.
We all know the Barbie doll and, sure, they are all very pretty, but if it was to be molded into life – like proportions, the result would be quite scary.
Still, in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, turning oneself into a ‘living Barbie’ has spread with such a rage that it has been labeled as the ‘Barbie Flu’. The amount of plastic surgery one has to undergo to get the near impossible look can be really harmful.
What are the specifications? Long hair, giant eyes, contact lenses, small mouths, tiny waists, curvy hips, full busts and an unbelievable measurement of 3.85/18.5/33.85. In the end, even though they have the same features of the doll, the result is far from beautiful. They are not at all looking normal. And I find myself asking: what does normal mean today?
