Palacio de Sal, La Paz, Bolivia
Straight from Bolivia we invite you to accompany us on a virtual tour of an amazing hotel, a strange hotel and a unique destination.
Palacio de Sal is the salt palace built on the largest salt flat in the world somewhere near the capital of the country, La Paz.
Located ad an altitude of 3656 meters the place is full of tourists and the fact that they needed a hotel here was a bit of a problem.
Due to the lack of material they used the only material you could find and made a hotel all out of salt.
They used 1 million blocks of salt to build the floors, walls, ceilings, the furniture and all the beds, tables, chairs and any ornamental sculptures.
With a steam room, a salt water pool and fully accommodated baths with whirlpool you can enjoy a wonderful stay in a strange hotel.
Palacio de Sal has only one rule during your stay here, don’t lick the walls so that the degradation is minimal.
