2. Battle of wine
Spain is popularly known for its vineyards. It is where one of the world’s best wines produced. Some of them are from the crag area in the village of Miranda de Ebro.
The history behind this festival is when the people of Miranda de Ebro fought for the ownership of the local crags. Now, Spain is celebrating it with a peaceful and fun battle of wine.
As participants, you will tirelessly dispatch liters and liters of wine over your opponents. If you get thirsty, just open your mouth as your opponent throw one back at you.
This festival lasts for hours from morning until lunchtime in June 29th. After the battle, all participants head back to Haro to gather in Plaza de la Paz.
