The second place on our list is taken by Panoz Esperante. The car has all ingredients to be a super car, including a few key pieces from a Mustang, like its engine and steering rack.
They hand-build the aluminum sportscar around it, so you can get the Esperante.
It is not that different from a Pantera, for example, but Esperante has some unique touches of its own.
Its divisive love-it or hate-it looks are unlike anything else out there, and it has quite the racing heritage behind it. Some of the earlier versions are now selling for $40,000 or more.
