Taylor Swift Could Earn $1 Million a Day and Become the Highest-Paid Musician
Taylor Swift could earn $1 million a day in 2015 and become the Highest-Paid musician. After she has showed us she has a lot of money to even buy a new place, Taylor strikes again.
With “1989”, as her latest album already released, Taylor’s album name is also the number of dollars she makes every three minutes.
She makes so much money in a day as most people would make in a year or more, in their wildest dreams.
As reported by The Express, Taylor’s entertainment empire has already made $318 million this year, and is set to bring in at least $365 million in 2015.
If that works out, she could earn $1 million a day, or nearly $42,000 an hour.
All that money comes from a lot of sources. For example, her most recent album, “1989” has already sold over 5 million copies. The tour, which is there to promote the album, has already brought in $713 million, in which merchandise aren’t even includes.
She also has big endorsement deals with brands like Diet Coke and Target, plus, according to The Express “massive investments in three fast-growing companies that mainly handle music management and touring.”
However, Forbes magazine doesn’t think Taylor could make all this money.
The magazine put her as the 8th highest-earning celebrity of 2015, with a total annual haul of “just” $80 million, well behind top earner Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s $300 million, but that was for the period between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015, before the 1989 tour really got going.
They estimate that Swift will end up earning somewhere between $100 million and $200 million in the year as a whole.
Yes, we are talking about the tour where she brought all those stars on stage with her. Taylor even got Lisa K. to sing Smelly Cat with her (a song from TV show Friends).
To date, her total income is $317.8 million.
“Right now, Taylor is untouchable,” media analyst Mike Raia told the Express. “She is so far ahead of everyone else in the industry that she has become not only a powerhouse entertainer but also an important mover and shaker on the commercial side of the music business.”
With these numbers expected to continue as Taylor finishes up her world tour, the singer will likely end 2015 with more than $365 million dollars in her pocket earned from this year alone.
While this all makes Taylor the highest paid musician, it’s Katy Perry who was named Forbes’ wealthiest celebrity earlier this year with Taylor falling behind at the No. 8 spot. At this rate, it might be Taylor who tops the list next year.
