Which is actually a Christmas carol, and was composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem “Minuit, chrétiens”, which in translation means “Midnight, Christians”.
Soon after, Adolphe Adam wrote the music, and the song was premiered in Roquemaure in 1847 by the opera singer Emily Laurey.
The song has also been recorded through the years by many notable singers, The version by Perry Como was included on his “Season’s Greetings from Perry Como” album.
