Tennis Memorabilia: Top 10 Most Expensive List

6. Fred Perry’s Racket from 1934 Wimbledon Final: Sold for $32,000

A record of eight Grand Slam titles puts Fred Perry as the most successful British tennis player in history before he moved to US and became a US citizen.

It was not just about the number of titles he won but also about how young he was. He was the first one to complete a career Grand Slam by winning each of the major titles by the age of 26.

Perry’s racket, a wooden Slazenger racket, was used during 1934 Wimbledon Final. The racket is bearing a personalized monogram “F.J.P”. In 1997, it was sold at £23,000 (approximately $32,000). Today, it is worth almost $50,000.

If you heard his name as a clothing label, that is because he helped designing the iconic tennis shirt. Singers like Zayn wore the label on his video clip, Pillow Talk. Adam Levine was seen on The Voice wearing the same.
