Boris Becker is one of the tennis legends. He is a German. He turned pro in 1984 and became the world’s number one in 1991. He retired in 1999. He is currently coaching the world’s number one, Novak Djokovic.
Back then, tennis watches endorsement was not as popular as today. Not many tennis players wore the luxurious watch on court. Boris wore his on several occasions.
Boris won the Wimbledon Grand Slam in 1985. This inspired the special edition watch from IWC. The watch model is called IWC Portuguese Collection Chronograph Boris Becker Limited Edition Green Dial. There were only 250 pieces made. They came with $7,500 price each.
The IWC Green Dial is a two register chronograph watch in stainless steel case. It features green Arabic dial, with iconic IWC green crocodile skin strap on, and stainless steel folding clasp.
