Being half comedy, the movie makes fun of most of the people who starred in it, and not only!
Wade’s line “Don’t make the super suit green-or animated!” is a heads up to the other superhero Ryan Reynolds plays, in The Green Lantern, where he didn’t get to put on an actual costume, just have one added like a special effect afterwards.
Yeah, you got it, he wasn’t too keen on the whole situation.
There have been rumours that Martin Campbell (the director of The Green Lantern) and Ryan didn’t quite get along.
So RR took advantage of his current character’s sarcastic sense of humor and fired some shots in that direction, just by adding in the one little line that pissed some certain people off.
