Now that he got his millions, he started acting like a millionaire! And because he was a millionaire he had to do things millionaire people do- like riding powerboats.
In fact, he was that good at riding powerboats that he even won several power boating championship titles.
In the ‘90s Batista was three time champion in the Super Offshore Powerboat class, for the Brazilian and U.S teams and one as a world champion.
He was really good. In 2006 he covered the 220 nautical miles between Santos and Rio de Janeiro in just over three hours.
By doing that, he broke the record for the course in his boat, the Spirit of Brazil. At least that was what a Dow Jones profile of the CEO said.
