The Hartono family is vastly rich. Oei Wie Gwan bought Djarum company in 1951. He inherited the company to his two sons, Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono. The two men lead the company towards its wealth.
Djarum is now the biggest tobacco company in Indonesia. Besides Djarum, the two brothers also own the biggest stock of Bank Central Asia (BCA). Their business expanded to electronic (Polytron), badminton (PB Djarum), and e-commerce (Blibli.com). They also bought the biggest online forum community in Indonesia, Kaskus.
With 15.4 billion US dollars of net worth, the two brothers, lead by Robert Budi Hartono, are on the top of Indonesia’s Richest People list.
