7. Wilmar (Sales Revenue: $38.8 billion)
Wilmar is a Singaporean company which is rather young compared to others we have discussed on this list. This company was founded just twenty five years ago, but it has already become the leader of Asia’s agribusiness.
Wilmar’s products are not familiar for U.S. citizens since they are not distributed in any of American regions. But in 50 other countries, especially Asian countries, they have sneaked into every kitchen.
One of their leading products is cooking oil. The company has more than 450 manufacturing plants for oil palm cultivation, edible oils refining, oilseeds crushing, pack processing, and biodiesel manufacturing. Wilmar is indeed taking this seriously.
With $16.8 billion of market cap, Wilmar International is ranked 359th on Forbes’s Global 2000 list. And every year, this company is generating $38.78 billion of sales revenue. Wilmar may not sell as many products to as wide market as other leading companies. But it has indeed picked the right field to drill.
