What makes this treehouse special?
It is a three-room open-air suite connected by wooden bridges, set in a secluded spot among old trees. Each room has its own theme and a bed on a balcony that lets guests look at the stars. Bahouth built it from reclaimed materials, including salvaged windows.
The listing was flooded with enquiries and, at its peak, our earlier article reported more than 300,000 visits a month and around 150,000 wish-list saves. Those figures date from 2016 to 2017.
“I’ve tried to understand why it’s been so popular,” Bahouth told Today “I think it’s a simple response to a complicated world for a lot of people.”
