Luxurious Hotels of the 2016 UEFA Champions League Finalists

If you are planning to go to Milan this month, consider staying at the same hotel as these UEFA Champions League finalists.

San Siro, Milan will be the host of one of this year’s biggest sport events: UEFA Champions League final. The finalists have booked the luxurious hotels where they will spend their most important nights ever.

The event will be held in May 28th. But the finalists will be there a few days prior to the event. Even if you are not a fan of football, staying at the same hotel with them will give you a once-in-a-lifetime traveling experience!

Atletico Madrid has booked the five-star hotel, Melia Milano. While the other finalist, Real Madrid, will be staying at a four-star hotel, Radisson Blu.

Take a look at the features offered by each of those luxurious hotels. Get ready to rearrange your itinerary to Milan this month!

10. Radisson Blu: 5 km away from San Siro

Real Madrid Football Club players and team will be staying at Radisson Blu, Milan for the UEFA Champions League final in a couple of weeks.

The hotel is located at Via Villapizzone, 24 , Milan, 20156, Italy. It is around 5 kilometers away from the Champions League final venue, San Siro stadium.

The hotel also offers close access to some popular tourist attractions in Milan. To get to the Monza Racetrack, where the world’s most expensive sport is held, it only takes around 45 minutes’ drive.

It is not Italy without its exquisite art and culture. From the hotel, you can visit the Santa Maria delle Grazie, a church and convent in Milan. It is best known as the home of da Vinci’s The Last Supper.

9. Melia Milano: 2 km away from San Siro

Compared to Radisson Blu Hotel where the opposite team will be staying, Melia Milano is closer to San Siro stadium, where the final match will be held. The Atletico Madrid’s hotel is only 2 kilometers away.

San Siro stadium, now Giuseppe Meazza, is the home ground for AC Milan and Inter Milan. It is still often called by its previous name, San Siro, which is the district where it is located.

The new name was given in 1980 to honor the ex-player for both Milan teams, Giuseppe Meazza. The stadium was first opened in 1926 in a match of the two Milan teams. Inter won 6-3.

So, if location is a huge matter to you in choosing your accommodation, you should go with Melia Milano. It will take less time for you to get to the stadium and the San Siro district.

8. Radisson Blu: A mixed of Italian and Indonesian design

Radisson Blu offers a unique mix of design within its interior. The exquisite ancient Italian design is combined with the exotic Indonesian design. This gives a unique modern-yet-traditional touch nowhere else to find in Milan.

From the lobby, conference center, courtyard, to the 250 spacious rooms design, there are hints of Italian artistic culture and Indonesian furniture.

As you can see on the picture, wooden furniture, flooring, and most of the room ornament decorations are the Indonesian elements. Yet the whole room comes in the artistic touch of Italian design.

So, if you’re looking to spend some nights in a uniquely designed hotel alongside the Real Madrid players, go for Radisson Blu in Milan this May.

7. Melia Milano: the Mediterranean design

Melia Milano offers a different ambiance to the Radisson Blu. Melia Milano emphasizes the importance of designing the hotel to suit their guests.

As they stated on their official website: “Meliá Milano is so tailored to your needs that it may deserve an entirely different name: yours!”

As seen on the picture, the grand Mediterranean design welcomes you as soon as you enter the lobby. Shiny marble flooring, grand staircases, and luxurious rugs are some of the Mediterranean’s hallmark.

The room design is dark, elegant, technological, chameleonic and rational. As they call it the Diabolik comic experience room.

6. Radisson Blu’s Suite

The mixed Italian-Indonesian design can be experienced in the whole part of Radisson Blu, including the bedrooms. They offer the guests simplicity on top of the artistic modern-traditional design.

One of the UEFA Champions League finalists, Real Madrid, has booked the suites of Radisson Blu. Each of them is a 55 meter squared room with separated living and sleeping rooms.

With the in-room Nespresso coffee machine, you can grab a cup anytime you want. With other amenities such as wireless Internet access and satellite TV, you might want to reconsider leaving the room.

Other room types are also available. Unfortunately, the hotel is fully booked on the final match day. But you can book for one night stay on May 27th, one day before the match, with €1,049.

5. Melia Milano’s The Level

Melia Milano offers many room types with different designs. Earlier you read a little bit about the Diabolik Comic Experience room.

Diabolik is a fictional character from the Italian comics. He is an anti-hero who steals from criminals. Inspired by the character, this room is designed for guests who seek for intriguing luxurious experience.

The room you see on the picture is The Level. This room creates the ultimate feeling of comfort and style. It comes in all-white luxurious design. It comes with complimentary access to The Level Lounge.

Unfortunately, none of them are available on the Champions League final match day. There are only two rooms left and both are the Premium rooms, 25-35 meter squared elegantly designed rooms. For one night stay on May 28th, it costs €2,180.

4. Radisson Blu’s Leonardo Restaurant

Italy is popularly known for its delicious food. Meat and cheese, is there any better combination of ingredients? Especially for foodies, food served at the hotel is an important consideration prior to booking the room.

Radisson Blu offers fresh and bold Italian dishes at their Leonardo Restaurant. It is named after the Italy’s renowned Renaissance man, Leonardo da Vinci.

The chefs embody the da Vinci’s art tradition in blending the local ingredients to produce gastronomic work of art.

Great wine selections from the curated wine cellar are available for you to enjoy with the exclusive entree. All of these experiences come in a soft lighting and warm earth tones.

3. Melia Milano’s Mediterranean and International Dining

Unlike Radisson Blu, Melia Milano offers a more refreshing option of food. The hotel’s restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisines with a la carte menu.

The fine dining service works closely with the MiCo (Milano Congressi), the largest congress center in Europe. This gives the hotel guests the most elegant service for any occasion.

The Jigger Food & Cocktail bar serves all natural, healthy, delicious, seasonal, and fresh food. They also offer the exquisite dessert bar with premium drinks and signature cocktails.

Which of the two hotels you choose based on their food simply depends on your preference: Italian food versus Mediterranean food. Which one to choose while you are traveling in Milan, Italy?

2. Radisson Blu’s four-star facilities

With a great rating come great facilities! The best part in staying in luxurious hotel is to experience the luxurious services they offer.

Radisson Blu offers health & fitness club, indoor swimming pool, and sauna & steam room. As additions, they also offer other convenient services, such as Express Laundry service, Grab & Run Breakfast, and secure parking at its 113-space indoor car park.

As seen on the picture, the hotel provides a pleasing and elegant indoor pool. It comes with glass ceiling and comfortable lounging area. So you can swim laps to stay in shape, relax in the pool’s heated water, or just lounge poolside with your gadget.

The sauna & steam room brings you the ultimate peace and relaxation. It provides chromotherapy, a color therapy to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that result in health and harmony.

1. Melia Milano’s five-star facilities

Melia Milano has a fully equipped wellness center for the guests. It consists of gym and relaxation circuit. It offers a new concept of wellbeing.

The gym is available for all hotel guests free of charge. You will find complete facilities with areas for cardio-pulmonary activities and muscle building, toning, and stretching. A personal trainer is available too.

The relaxation circuit offers a wide range of facial and body treatments. From aromatherapy, cleansing, waxing, cellulite treatments, reflexology, Turkish bath, and many more. Among those, the players of Atletico Madrid will appreciate the physiotherapy service more.

There are only a few days left until the final match of UEFA Champions League is held in Milan. Arrange your itinerary now if you don’t want to miss the experience of living next door to the world class football players.
