6.Linear/Geometric
Everything goes a little bit geometric this season.
We’ve got two ways in which designers have literally sharpened the fashion these seasons: the linear or Bauhaus inspiration and the geometric prints.
For Fall/Winter 2015-2016 many designers have been inspired by the work of Bauhaus in Berlin during the 30s, Marlene Dietrich’s wardrobe and even Mondrian’s lines. All these resulted in a linear style of clothing that is on one hand romantic and on the other hand creates an androgynous silhouette.
The geometry of this season can also be found in the geometric prints with lines that interlock or run zig-zag on your clothes. For more of this, check out the creations of Alexander Wang, Altuzarra and Peter Pilotto for this cold season.
