“Tropical Island Paradise” is a 90 metre (295 foot) superyacht concept from Yacht Island Design, styled as a floating volcanic island with a waterfall, a private beach and accommodation for ten guests. It was unveiled as a design in 2011 and, as far as we can tell, it has not been built and has no published price.

What is the Tropical Island Paradise yacht?
Yacht Island Design followed its “Streets of Monaco” concept with “Tropical Island Paradise”, a design that gives the yacht the look of waves breaking around a volcanic island while keeping a contemporary silhouette. It is a concept: it has not hit the market and has no set price.
What is on board?
A towering volcano with a cascading waterfall that feeds the swimming pool sits at the centre. The main deck is a private beach “creek” of cabanas around a large ocean-view pool, and the design includes a helicopter landing pad and a large bar behind the beach cabanas. Inside the volcano are a library, cinema, gym, games room, spa and VIP suites, including an owner’s suite over two decks. Under the pool is a recreation area for kayaks, jet skis and a tender.
The design draws on the islands of the Indian Ocean, Polynesia and the Caribbean. Sources disagree on whether the volcano was meant to function, so treat that detail with caution.
Why was it designed?
Rob McPherson, a director at the Derbyshire firm, explained the idea:
McPherson said “We had two reasons for designing such a boat. The first it is for fun, and the second is that the current market is pretty bored with designs that look similar. We want to make some incredibly fun designs and carve a niche for ourselves within the market, a place where other designers fear to tread.
Will it ever be built?
We found no report of a builder or a launch. Superyacht concepts like this are often used to attract commissions and attention, and most never reach the water. If you want a similar experience, a custom yacht with a beach club deck is far more likely.
