Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2014

Great for the red carpet and a bold fashionista, the Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2014 collection!

It looks like there is a new designer obsession in town.  Zuhair Murad is a constant presence in celebrities’ lives and a favorite on the red carpet.

He makes dresses that any woman would crave for. His style is precious, elegant and mysterious.

His spring/summer 2014 collection is truly exquisite and a real inspiration when t comes to building our spring outfits.

You will see that in his collection you will find most of the greatest spring trends like pastels and florals. Here are some of his creations:

1The colors were amazing and unexpected. Everything from white and pastels to black.

The first looks of the collection were some ivory daywear looks: pencil skirts, trousers, open jackets—all fronted in a double row of gold buttons. Actually, Murad said that this look was his Parisian ideal.2

This jacket shaped dress really caught my attention. Everything from the color combination, ivory and gold, to its lengths and that amazing split screams sensuality and mystery.3

The next looks are pointing out femininity with the help of guipure lace outfits. The see-though sheaths rich in shimmering appliqués make the dresses sexy enough, but still keeping that mysterious look.

Lace is featured heavily in this collection, but there are also fabric flowers, draped satin and a few feather details.4

The common element of all outfits is the gold touch offered by the golden leaf and feather shaped belts that accessorizes all dresses.

When it comes to shapes, the dresses are in slim, kaftan, mermaid and corolla shapes.6

If you start to find all those flowers overwhelming, the black comes in to equilibrate the previous looks.7

As it is a spring/summer collection, pastels are present. Murad really took advantage of baby pink, peach or canary yellow.

So, he added a mystical garden segment of his collection that contained a multitude of camellias, roses, peonies, gentian, and more, all shimmering atop gowns.8

His petal parade ends up by coming back to ivory and showing a beautiful princess-like wedding dress that bloomed with upwards of 25,000 floral appliqués.braidzuhair-murad-couture-7-abraidbraid
