The American fashion designer owns a multi-billion-dollar company named after himself. As you already know, Lauren worked for Brooks Brothers, and in 1966 he started producing his own neckties. In 1967 he was financially supported by Norman Hilton, and so his fame begun.
The designer was allowed to use the Polo brand after Brook Brothers granted him the rights to use the trademark. His polo player logo is now a worldwide famous icon, making Lauren one of the richest people in the world.
