The most expensive barbecue in the world is BeefEater’s 24-carat gold-plated grill, with a production price of £100,000, which recent price guides put in the $155,000 to $165,000 range. This top 10 ranks the highest list prices we could find in October 2026, and the numbers are retail snapshots that move with finish, size and dealer.

1. BeefEater gold-plated Signature grill: about $160,000
BeefEater, the Australian maker, plated a six-burner Signature SL4000 grill in 24-carat gold in 2009. Everything except the cooking surface got the treatment, down to the nuts and bolts. The company said a production version would cost £100,000, and the record page itself valued the display unit at around US$15,000. Newer price guides quote figures between $155,000 and $165,000, and the number moves with the price of gold.
Treat this as a collector’s novelty. Our figure rests on the £100,000 production price and the current price guides.
2. Kalamazoo K750HS freestanding hybrid: from $37,165
The Michigan maker’s freestanding hybrid burns gas, charcoal or wood on 726 square inches of cooking surface, with an infrared rotisserie burner, side burners and marine-grade stainless steel. Built to order, it starts at $37,165 on one retail listing. The marine-grade versions of the line run $35,000 to $40,000 elsewhere.
This is the highest list price we found for a grill you can buy new.
3. Kalamazoo K1000HS freestanding hybrid: about $36,545
The bigger sibling has a 46-inch cooking surface, four burners rated at 26,500 BTU each, side burners, wood and charcoal drawers, and an infrared rotisserie. A retail list shows it at $36,545.
The number is a dealer list price and may differ by configuration.
4. Cal Spa Outdoor Super Sports Cabana: about $35,000
This is a grill with extras: five cast stainless burners, a fridge, a small bar, a stereo and three 20-inch outdoor TVs. A 2025 update of a price list still gives $35,000. We could not confirm it is still on sale, so the number is the last published price.
It is the only entry here priced mostly for the furniture.
5. Kalamazoo K750HB hybrid: from $25,995
The built-in version of the flagship hybrid starts at $25,995, runs gas with wood or charcoal, and reaches about 1,200°F with both fuels. Marine-grade builds in the same family cost between $35,000 and $40,000.
The price is a starting figure from a professional-grill buying guide.
6. American Made Grills Encore: about $18,617
A 54-inch freestanding grill in 304 stainless steel, it has seven burners at a combined 176,000 BTU and cooks with charcoal, wood, pellets or gas. A rotisserie and a griddle come with it. A different guide lists the 54-inch Muscle hybrid at $12,760 built-in and $18,482 on a cart.
We use the Encore’s cart price from the retail listing.
7. Crown Verity CV-TG-4 towable grill: about $18,537
Aimed at tailgaters, this 69-inch trailer-mounted grill has six burners rated at 99,000 BTU, a sink, beverage compartments and a lifetime warranty on the body and grates.
The price comes from one retail listing.
8. Fire Magic Echelon Diamond E1060: $17,100 to $18,136
The 48-inch Echelon has cast 304 stainless burners with a lifetime warranty, Diamond Sear grids, an infrared back burner and a double-walled hood. The built-in version is $10,711 to $11,996. Prices on the cart reach $18,136.
We quote a range because retailers differ.
9. Alfresco 56-inch freestanding grill: about $17,749
This stainless and ceramic unit weighs about 547 pounds and has a titanium burner system and a heavy-duty rotisserie. A 42-inch Alfresco Intelligent Pro with smart temperature control costs $14,299 on a cart.
The figure is a single retail listing.
10. Hestan 42-inch grill with rotisserie: about $16,608
Built in Anaheim, California, with a rotisserie kit, four sear burners, a hidden motor and motion-activated halogen lights. Prices run from $11,099 for the built-in version up to $16,608 on a cart with options. A 36-inch deluxe version with double side burners has been listed at up to $16,000.
We use the highest cart price we found.
What changed since our first list
- The gold BeefEater still tops the ranking, at about the same $164,000 we quoted before.
- Kalamazoo moved up sharply. Our earlier list had its K1000 hybrid at $20,000, and a freestanding K1000HS with side burners is now about $36,545.
- The Cal Spa cabana is unchanged at $35,000, the last price we could find.
- Cheaper names from the old top ten, such as the Weber Ranch Kettle, Backwoods Competitor and Twin Eagles Pinnacle, no longer make the cut.
- We found no verified 2025 or 2026 record price for any barbecue.
What drives these prices
- Hybrid fire. Grills that burn gas, wood and charcoal need more engineering, which is why Kalamazoo owns the top of the practical range.
- Marine-grade steel. 316 stainless costs more to buy and to weld, and buyers near the coast pay for it.
- Carts and islands. The same burners sell for several thousand dollars more once they sit in a freestanding cart.
- Gold. The BeefEater is priced as a precious-metal object, not as a cooking tool.
