5. Audi A3
Produced by the German company since 1996, the A3 model is a compact executive car based on the Volkswagen Group A platform.
A platform that is shared with other valuable models like Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Caddy, Audi TT and even Seat Leon/Toledo and Skoda Octavia.
Following the demise of the Audi 50 in 1978, the German company wanted to make their return to the production of smaller cars.
And they managed to do just that, in 1996, with the original Audi A3, when it was introduced in the European market.
At first, the car was only available with a three-door hatchback body in order to present a more sporty look than the Volkswagen Golf.
