Founded in 1854 by Louis Vuitton, this company is one of the world’s leading international fashion houses, and sells its products through, lease departments in high-end department stores, standalone boutiques, and through the e-commerce section of its website.
Louis Vuitton has been named the world’s most valuable luxury brand for six consecutive years, from 2006 until 2012.
It’s well known for the “LV” labels which appears on most of its products, from shoes, watches, and jewellery, to luxury trunks and leather goods.
The Louis Vuitton brand was valued in 2013 at $28.4 billion with a sales of $9.4 billion, and operates in 50 countries with more than 460 stores worldwide.
