With a production running since 1985, and still going, the Taurus was originally introduced in 1986.
The original Taurus model was a milestone design for Ford and the entire American automotive industry, and better yet, a very influential vehicle that brought many new features and innovations to the marketplace.
Since its launch, the Ford Taurus was manufactured in 7,519,919 units, making it the fifth-best-selling North American nameplate in Ford’s history.
The Ford Taurus model even had a third generation model present in the NASCAR, replacing the Thunderbird after the 1997 season.
