6. Ford GT40
This amazing car was produced between the years 1964 and 1969 in a number of 107 units.
The Ford GT40 recommends itself as a high performance American-British endurance racing car which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four consecutive times.
And that’s not all, in addition, the GT40 also won four FIA international titles at what was then (unofficially known) the World Sportscar Championship.
Originally, Ford built the GT40 in order to win long-distance sports car races against Ferrari, who was back then the six time in a row winner of the Le Mans.
The GT40 was named after a project in which Ford prepared the cars for the international endurance racing circuit, and the quest to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
