7. Jeep CJ
Built between the years 1944 and 1986 by Jeep, the CJ, also known as the “Willys CJ” model was a public version of the famous Willys Military Jeep from World War II.
Willys was an American automobile company best known for its design and production of military Jeeps.
Because by 1944 the Allies were confident the war would be won, Willys considered designing a model for the post-war civilian market, that’s how the CJ-1 model was born.
The car was even introduced to the Japanese market in July 1953 after Willys agreed to allow Mitsubishi to market the car themselves, but under the name Mitsubishi Jeep J37.
