4. Maserati Biturbo
Produced between the years 1981 and 1994, the Biturbo model was a family of luxury sports cars, saloons and grand tourers manufactured by the Italian automaker Maserati.
The original Biturbo model featured, as the name implied a two-litre V6 engine with two turbochargers and a luxurious interior.
When Alejandro de Tomaso acquired Maserati in 1976, his plan was to combine the prestige of the Maserati brand with a sports car.
The model was initially a strong seller and brought Italian prestige to a wide audience, with 40,000 units being sold.
The Maserati Biturbo model was the first ever production automobile with a twin-turbocharged engine.
