7. Rolls-Royce Phantom II
Built between 1929 and 1936, and with 1680 units produced, the Phantom II was the third and last of Rolls-Royce’s 40/50 hp models, replacing the New Phantom.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom II model was equipped with a 7668 cc I6, which unlike on previous 40/50 hp models, was bolted directly to the 4-speed manual transmission.
Also, the chassis of this model was completely new, the front axle being mounted on semi-elliptical leaf springs, but the rear axle was now also mounted on semi-elliptical springs instead of cantilever springs.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom II models was even featured in films like “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”, and “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.
