Our next top selling self published author is Amanda Hocking.
The American writer of paranormal romance young-adult fiction wrote 17 novels in her free time and in 2010 began self publishing them as e-books.
One year later, she had sold over a million copies of her nine books and earned $2 million from sales. She made headlines in 2001 with her My Blood Approves series, and Trylle Trilogy.
In 2011, Hocking was known to sell an average of 9.000 books per day. Well wow, that is a LOT. Even though she was very famous, Amanda decided to sign a conventional publishing contract with St. Martin’s Press in March 2011.
This trilogy is one my favourites… it’s the second time I read it and the story caught me… again.
