N5. Bill Murray – Rushmore – $9,000
If you have seen Ghostbusters, you know who Bill Murray is.
He is such a legend and everyone knows that he earns a lot of money from his movies.
But he isn’t the type of person you’d expect him to be. He doesn’t play by the rules and he jumps from one project to another, doing whatever he wants.
Leaving behind the fact that Rushmore is one of his best and most memorable roles, the actor only earned $9,000 for his role in Wes Anderson’s film, where he played millionaire Heston Blume.
The Groundhog Day actor apparently settled for the minimum Screen Actors Guild rate for his performance. Murray was so enthused by the character that he agreed to do it on the super cheap.
