Lunar Year of the Sheep Royal Mint Coin
For those who love Chinese tradition and British heritage, we present another presence that debuted in 2015, a coin celebrating the Lunar Year of the Sheep.
The Royal British Mint created this unique coin, a second commemorative limited edition currency that honored first the Year of the Horse and now of the Sheep.
Created by artist Wuon-Gean Ho, the coin was made to show the world how both traditions blend perfectly and how the Chinese heritage transcend in the British tradition.
The coin comes with the image of the Yorkshire Swalendale sheep on its face and it’s available in different formats like gold, gold-plated and silver.
Considered a sign of good luck the coin come in a red package and it was made by the artist in a limited edition inspired from his family’s past in China and the present where he lived in the UK.
