Ett Hem is a 12-room boutique hotel in a 1910 townhouse in Stockholm’s Lärkstaden district, with interiors by Ilse Crawford, and doubles start around SEK 7,500 (about $750) a night on booking sites. It is built to feel like a private home rather than a hotel, and that is why it stands out among Stockholm stays.

About Ett Hem
The hotel’s own history says: “Ett Hem was a private residence built in 1910. The people who built it had a propensity for beauty, and they left their mark on this townhouse, situated in a peaceful, residential area of Stockholm.”
Owner Jeanette Mix wanted to keep the character of the house while adding the services modern travellers expect, and Ilse Crawford has been involved in the interiors since the project began. The name means “a home” in Swedish.
The rooms
The hotel describes itself this way: “With twelve rooms, Ett Hem offers discerning guests comfortable interiors and bedrooms full of summery whiteness of light. Outdoors, the courtyard garden is a secret city wilderness that is the perfect place for summer breakfasts or winding down in the evening over a chilled bottle of wine.”
Room types run from double rooms to deluxe doubles, junior suites and suites. Guests eat in the house kitchen, and the house also offers a sauna, a basement gym and a treatment room, according to a hotel directory. Tables in the kitchen can be reserved through the hotel’s own booking links.
How much does Ett Hem cost?
