7Aguila – Colombia
Cerveza Aguila is the #1 selling beer in Colombia. I guess you can see that Aguila is Colombia.
‘Aguila’ is Spanish for ‘Eagle’, and if you can observe in the image, the bottle shares colors with Colombia’s flag. A nice bottle that is!
Providing an authentic taste distinctly Colombian with a mild taste, Aguila is perfect for parties, festivals, or in this case, the World Cup.
And not once this beer received the description : ‘unique balance between bitterness, flavour and sweetness.’
Other reviews include : 1) ‘Bottle 33cl. A clear golden colour with a small white head. An aroma of fruit and butterscotch. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. A thin body and medium carbonation.’
2) ‘Great session beer for when you’re out in the sun. Not so much taste to it though. Some sweet malt, grain, little bit of corn and something that reminds me of bitterness.’
And our favorite one and we quote : 3)’The pub near work was flogging these, (for $5 a pop) so had to give it a try. Sweet with not much in the way of hops. Pretty average but I’m sure it slakes the thirst of the average Colombian. If they keep charging that much and market it correctly, it could be the next Corona’.
