10Issaya Siamese Club
We begin our top list with Issaya Siamese Club, located at Chuea Phloeng Rd, Thung Maha Mek.
This Thai restaurant is an 100-year-old house with beautiful wooden veranda and old fashioned staircase, providing a romantic mood.
Its interior features a mix of classic and modern furniture on terracotta tile floors and colorful wallpapers.
Their dishes are moderately spicy and always skilfully presented.
We recommend: the Yum Hua Plee (a banana flower salad with sweet sauce), Tdom Klong Seafood, Double Boiled Beef Short Rib and Poo Nim Tod Kai Kem (soft shell crab with a salty egg sauce).
9Le Beaulieu
Next on our top list is Le Beaulieu, a fine dining place that for many years has been synonymous with French cuisine in Bangkok.
Under the attention of Chef Herve Frerard, you’ll enjoy some of the best dishes in town.
Chef Frerard had the chance to cook for the Thai Royal Family, Queen Elizabeth II and for French President Francois Mitterrand.
The restaurant is set over 2 floors, which are connected by a spiral staircase. Its interior is relatively small, but elegant. And although the tables are a bit close to each other, it is not that disturbing.
Le Beaulieu also has a terrace, which is a more different concept.
We recommend: Dover sole with lemon capers sauce, homemade Bouillabaisse, Roasted Pigeon d’Anjou, Madame Burgaud Duck, Millefeuille with Tahitian vanilla and Baked Hazelnut Souffle.
8Enoteca Italiana
If you’re looking for Italian cuisine, this is the ideal place in Bangkok.
Best known as one of the most successful Italian restaurants in the capital of Thailand, Enoteca Italiana features a dining room decorated with red tiled floors, large windows and a wooden ceiling.
Obviously, no Italian restaurant would be complete without a wide list of wines. And Enoteca Italiana has an entire wall dedicated to those fine drinks.
We recommend: truffle pigeon and foie gras, tenderloin of venison with artichoke, roasted snowfish with N’duja chili pork sausage and piquillion pepper.
7Nahm
Nahm not only consistently ranks among the finest restaurants in the world, but is also one of the best restaurants in Bangkok. And that’s why Nahm ranked #7 on our top 10 list.
Located on the ground floor of Metropolitan Hotel, on Stathorn Road, Nahm features a mix of Thai brick columns with gold and blue colors and wooden screens, as well as private rooms for special occasions.
The restaurant serves Thai cuisine prepared by the Michelin-starred Chef Thompson.
What we recommend: Nam Keng Sai (shaved ice dessert), Tom Yum Soup and the classic Thai dessert mango and sticky rice covered in thick coconut cream and garnished with sesame.
6Eat Me
Located on a side street halfway down Soi Convent, Eat Me is easily recognizable.
The 2-storey white house features a bar, lounge area, dining room and a small outside terrace. The decor is modern, with washed-out walls with paintings and wooden floors.
On weekends the restaurant is full, so remember to book ahead.
Their menu offers over 50 choices. For starters, we recommend witlof, cherry and mozzarella salad with asparagus and red onion tarte tatin.
But what is really a must is their ice cream, especially the chestnut with rosemary and dark chocolate chilli.
5La Table de Tee
On #5 we have La Table de Tee, which is open Tuesday to Sunday from 18:30 to 22:30.
The restaurant is located down a back alley on Soi Sala Daeng, just a few minutes from the BTS stops on Silom Road.
Although the restaurant has room for only 20 diners, is still growing in popularity. So make sure to book ahead.
Inside you’ll find blue walls decorated with cool photos of Bangkok.
Their menu changes on a weekly basis, using locally sourced ingredients. La Table de Tee offers 5 courses, consisting of small dishes.
We recommend: tiger prawn, pink duck served with firm asparagus and sweet char-grilled red peppers and shortbread and berry mousse topped with a crisp chocolate tuille.
Don’t forget about drinks! Their wine menu offers Thai wines, as well as French and New World. The cocktail menu is short, but you must try it! We recommend Shirley Temples.
4Bo.Lan
Bo.Lan is one of the best Thai restaurants in Bangkok. Located at Sukhumvit Soi 53, the restaurant offers tasteful dishes made from old recipes by Chef Duangporn Songvisava.
There are 3 set menus available to choose from, but most customers go for the Bo.Lan Balance.
The menu features a Thai cocktail to set the mood, followed by a platter of appetizers like steamed salmon with dill.
Also, we recommend Nam Keng Sai (a classic dessert with coconut milk and palm seeds).
If you’re looking for a restaurant to impress someone, this is the ideal place. Their dishes are elaborate both in presentation and taste.
3Sra Bua
This luxury restaurant’s name means lotus and pond. Sra Bua is decorated with lots of lily pods and lotus flowers.
If the decor amazed you, so will the dishes.
Located at the ground floor of the Siam Kempinski Hotel, Sra Bua offers Thai dishes, created by Chef Morten.
Highlights include frozen red curry with lobster salad and orchid salad with snowfish in a spicy Thai dressing.
Also, their dessert menu is no less impressive. We recommend the banana cake with coconut and with toasted almonds served on a wooden platter, and passion fruit ice cream.
2Vertigo
Located on the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree hotel, Vertigo offers an unique tasting experience!

Vertigo and Moon Bar offers a full 360 degree view, and is perfect for a romantic dinner with nothing above your head than just the stars.
The prices are obviously a bit spicy, but after all, you’re in a 5-star restaurant. We recommend: their drinks menu.
1Sirocco
Our journey ends here, on the 64th floor of the State Tower. Sky Bar Sirocco is the world’s largest open-air restaurant.
And it ranked #2 on our top list of the Best Rooftop Bars in the World | Top 10.
As we said before, Sirocco was opened in 2003 and since then it is one of the best luxury restaurants in Bangkok.
Not to mention, it received numerous awards, such as 2013 New York Times – Sky Bar is one of the 46 places to go in 2013?, The Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards 2011-2013 – ‘HAPA Best 10 in Asia – Platinum Winner’.
We were very impressed by the glittering bar, that changes its colors every 90 seconds. From emerald, to lilac, to ocean blue, to tangerine.
