10Beer Market
We begin our top list with the Beer Market, a venue located at 3B River Valley Road.
Inspired by the dynamics of the stock exchange, the venue is a perfect blend of music, sports and food, creating an interactive atmosphere and an exciting experience.
As its name suggests, Beer Market’s highlight is beer. Most of their beers are listed on the Beer Market Exchange, known as ‘BMX’.
The prices of the drinks are updated every half on hour. So, the more popular the brew, the higher the price.
The Beer Market at Clarke Quay also has a food menu containing many interesting dishes like chicken rice pizza. Definitely something you’ll want to try!
9Ku De Ta
Next on our top list is the Ku De Ta. The venue is a bar, restaurant and dance club in-one.
Located at 257 meters atop the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Ku De Ta offers not only a great atmosphere on the dance floor, but also, tasteful dishes, great drinks and mesmerizing views across the city.
We recommend the rose water martinis at the illuminated Sky Bar and some modern Asian fusion cuisine in the stylish restaurant.
And for those of you, night owls, you can end the night in the Club Lounge.
8St. James Power Station
In the HarbourFront area of the Bukit Merah Planning Area, near VivoCity, you’ll find St. James Power Station.
The building was established in 1926 and it was Singapore’s first coal-fired power plant, supplying electricity to nearby shipyards and residences.
The best part about St. James Power Station is that it has not 1, but 11 nightclubs, with 70.000 square feet of floor space.
The venue received positive reviews, such as: ‘This is my favourite club in Singapore. It has the largest dancing floor and the music is fantastic!
It’s always packed so try and get in earlier if you don’t want to queue outside at 12 AM or an hour, especially on Saturdays. Ladies get free entry everyday. Awesome!‘
7Zirca
Located at River Valley Road, right in the heart of nightlife hotspot, Clarke Quay, Zirca is the best place for those who seek to enjoy several music genres.
The venue first opened in November, 2008, over the site of Ministry of Sound. This gigantic club has a capacity of 2.000 people.
Residents DJs Josh, Kennverve, Inquisitive and Marcus, will rock your world with their variations of electro, disco, house, techno, tribal, indie rock, drum’n’bass and progressive.
Regular nights include the monthly Funktion (progressive house), Electric Playground (electro, bassline, breakbeat and electrohouse) and Lollipop Wednesdays (Top 40 hits and mash-ups).
6Club Kyo
You’ll find the club at 133 Cecil Street, tucked away in a skyscraper’s basement. At Club Kyo, elemental music meets visionary art.
The name kyo’ has several meanings in Japanese, being a generic word in the language.
The venue offers an intimate, elegant space, featuring dark earthy tones, recycled wood furniture, bronze wall panels and some contemporary Japanese-influenced designs.
Club Kyo also offers a food menu, created by local eatery Kilo, and features sashimi dishes like scallop slices with spicy coconut and mango foam ($16), as well as a selection of sushi items.
And we recommend Wagyu chimichurri rice balls ($26).
5The Butter Factory
On #5 we have The Butter Factory, located at 1 Fullerton Rd.
As they say on their website, The Butter Factory is ‘Singapore’s zaniest nightspot that has been helping you forgot how you got home since 2006‘.
The venue is a blend of urban grooves, electronic music, fashion, art and design. It offers a wide variety of party music to dance across 2 loud rooms.
It received positive reviews on TripAdvisor: ‘If you’re looking for good hip hop music, The Butter Factory is definitely the place to be in Singapore. It has a skater vibe which is slightly casual and less pretentious than other places.
The house room had more of an electro/trance feel to it and was very glowy as most raves are. Two drinks are included in the cover charge but I imagine drinks to be be quite expensive.’
4Home Club
Home Club opened in March, 2005, and since then it has become one of the best nightclubs in Singapore.
Featuring 2.800 square feet, it makes a perfect club for large crowds.
Here you can expect to hear a cool mix of music, from drum’n’bass and dubstep, to indie and electro, psy-trance and techno.
Home Club has also been the playground of several international DJs, such as Roni Size.
3Attica
Situated in the heart of Clarke Quay, Attica is definitely one of Singapore’s most popular nightspots.
Attica opened in 2004, and this year, the club enjoyed a brand new refurbishment to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Not only it is one of the most popular nightclubs in Singapore, but also in the world, and it has seen some of the world’s biggest DJs, such as Paul Oakenfold, Dirty South, Ron Carroll, Robert Owens, Dub Pistols.
Attica and Attica Too feature a ground floor for hip hop lovers. Upstairs is the real deal, where it gets a bit hardcore, with flashing strobe lights and wild rhythms.
2Zouk
Singapore proudly presents a 4-in-1 clubbing destination, Zouk.
Located at 17 Jiak Kim Street, Zouk features 4 different clubs inside the complex: Zouk, Phuture, Velvet Underground – Dance and Velvet Underground – Lounge.
Each venue has different styles of decorating and music perfectly designed for each location.
Besides 7 DJS (ADrian Wee, Ghetto, Hong, Lincey, Matthew, DJB and Jeremy Boon), the venue often brings in international DJS, such as Carl Cox, Avicii, Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold, Adam Freeland to name few.

1Pangaea
ON #1 we have Pangaea, the legendary lounge that became a celebrity hangout not only in Singapore, but in also several places around the world like New York, London and Miami.
Opened in 2011, Pangaea offers a more laid-back vibe. It shares its floating Crystal Pavilion premises with a super club called Avalon.
The venue has an opulent interior, embellished with ostrich skin sofas, African tribal masks and a 70.000 glass bulb ceiling.
