Founded in 1876, the University of Oregon has been governed by an institutional board, since July 2014.
With more than 250 student groups, this university is famous for knowing how to get the party started after their stressful school week.
Home to the Ducks in Eugene Oregon as well as of 2 radio stations (KWAX – classical music and KWVA – campus radio), UO is the only Pac-12 school to officially make it on Princeton Review’s list.
It is also a member of the Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).
When it comes to sports, the university has a competitive intercollegiate with Speech and Debate team.
UO competes in 14 sports: football, cross country, track and field, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, women’s volleyball, acrobatics and tumbling.
The list does not include the clubs sports which competes at the Division I level in soccer, waterpolo, rowling, rugby and soccer.
