6Dunguaire Castle, Kinvara, Galway, Ireland
Dunguaire Castle is probably the most famous land mark that is associated with Kinvara.
Built in 1520 by the Hynes, the royal palace was Guaire Aidne mac Colmain’s, the legendary king of Connacht, home at the time. Dunguaire Castle was transferred in the 17th century to Oliver Martin.
We can’t guess what the king of Connacht or Oliver Martin drank in the iconic castle, but probably it was some fine whiskey.
However, we do know what you will enjoy while standing outside the castle’s gates. A big glass of 18 Year Jameson Limited Reserve.
Jameson is one of the best-selling whiskey brands in the world and we have an article to prove that: Jameson.
