Cool Your Drinks This Summer with The $325 Ice Cubes

We have found the most luxurious $325 Ice Cubes!

The ice cubes come from a luxury firm that sells perfectly square blocks of frozen water. We know what you are thinking: “how can anyone sell ice cubes, it’s just frozen water’, yes but these are craved by hand.

Who made these one of kind ice cubes?

The company from California, Gläce Luxury Ice Co makes these perfect shaped ice cubes for celebrity events.

The company was founded by Roberto Sequeira, a business school lecturer at the University of Los Angeles who came up with the idea for his company when he was dreaming up the ‘perfect’ business that is niche, high margin and scalable.

Their products are one of a kind, and unlike homemade ice cubes, the cubes they make contain fewer impurities and carcinogens.

Who uses these ice cubes?

Yes, you might be happy using the regular ice cubes, but not celebrities. We are already used with their unusual demands, and this is no surprise.

Celebrities and the super-rich people are demanding premium blocks to go with their fancy drinks.

It might sound absurd, but when you can afford anything in the world, you’ll want even your ice cubes to be premium.

The luxury ice cubes have been designed to accompany premium drinks and with the price tag of $325 for 50 cubes, these seem pretty unusual.

While the price tag may be high, the company claims they last longer and are healthier than the ordinary cubes you make at home, even if you boil the water.

Another amazing thing about these $325 Ice Cubes is that they are perfectly shaped and measure 2.5 inches (6 cm).

‘Traditional machine-ice, generally made with local tap water, may contain upwards of 150 impurities and carcinogens, resulting in poor tasting and potentially unhealthy ice,’ the firm claimed.

‘Purified of minerals, additives and other pollutants that may contaminate the taste of premium spirits and drinks, Gläce Ice pieces are meticulously crafted to deliver the finest complement to top shelf liquors,’ according to the company’s website.

The luxury cubes are perfectly clean and have been carved from large purified blocks of ice that are frozen from the outside in.

If you want, you can buy them and feel like a celebrity, but you must have around $8 for one, or $325 for a box of 50.

What makes the cubes so special?

It’s the fact that the spherical cubes take up to 30 minutes to melt in a drink, while the ‘G-cubed’ shape can last for up to 40 minutes, and offer ‘minimum dilution and maximum cooling’.

Like fine wine, the firm recommends the $325 Ice Cubes are left to breathe for a few minutes before any liquid is poured onto them, but they do not break apart like ‘less deserving ice’ upon contact with a warmer liquid.

Unlike your ice cubes, these are free from taste so that they don’t ruin the expensive cocktails and spirits. The most expensive ice cubes go well with the most expensive alcoholic drinks, don’t you think?

Are you the type of person that is happy filling up a plastic tray with tap water and stashing it in the freezer, or are you the type of person that will buy the fancy ice cubes?
